100 for the Homeless
ACM newest ministry was launched on March 1, 2012, $100 for the Homeless. It is the brainchild of Jim Grady and Trey Miller and recruits men to aid the homeless by doing two things:
1. Donate $100 per year to help fund The Central Night Shelter in downtown Atlanta, a ministry of hospitality to homeless men occupying space in both Central Presbyterian Church and the Catholic Shrine of the Immacculate Conception.
2. Consider volunteering during their operating season (November 1 - March 31) and telling others about this ministry.
Mark and Katie Bashor are the volunteer operators of the Shelter and have a wonderful personal story about life in the Shelter, Atlanta's oldest shelter for the homeless.
To date more than 80 men have become a part of this ministry and $100 for the Homeless promises to make a big impact on all concerned. For more information, contact Trey Miller (trey@treymiller.com) or Jim Grady (jdgrady@yahoo.com).
