Alan grew up in Virginia, then attended and graduated from Georgia Tech. For many years he served as an engineer for Bell South and other companies, both in the U.S. and Mexico.

After his retirement, he offered his IT services to ACM as a volunteer, and currently handles all of ACM’s technology and telecommunications. To this service, he has added IT assistance to other organizations. His wife Faustine is ACM’s Prayer Team Leader, and they are members of Peachtree Presbyterian Church.
