Martha Poston has helped others find the joy in writing through ACM's partnership program “World of Writers.”
My name is Martha Poston. I began to write in 2000 with the World of Writers Group. When I write, I come out with my spirit and it brings me hope, peace, and joy and peace of mind and also gets rid of stress and also brings inspiration in my life. And I can find joy in doing it and I can relate with other people who write...But writing is a joy, its creative, and it really helps me understand other people's lives.
Our mission is to try to get more seniors to write because it can sharpen their mind, and I know that writing can help people with Alzheimers. My goal is to see people write their stories, and if they can do that, they will feel good about themselves and continue to write...World of Writers is good for everybody, and I really believe that they can make a story out of it, as history.
